CMAP Concept Mapping

CMAP is a cross platform concept mapping application for OS X, Windows and Linux.

With an academic flair, CMAP is a very clean and capable concept mapping tool. The web presentation capabilities are unparalleled for a tool of this type. Concept mapping is an excellent approach to graphically identifying complex relationships and interactions, and CMAP does an exceptional job of this. The open/save interface is unique, but the multi-user remote collaboration capabilities, required a different approach to this area.

The output is exceptionally crisp, and the product enforces some rigorous discipline to concept mapping, including requiring connection lines to be attributed, but that only adds to the allure. CMAP is one of those tools that does what it does exceptionally well. It does not try to be a “jack-of-all-trades” application, but focused on delivering collaborative concept mapping.  Highly recommended.
